Tesla Plans Unsupervised Robotaxi Launch in Texas and California by Mid-2025

Published October 30, 2024

Elon Musk recently shared his optimistic vision for Tesla's future at a conference, emphasizing upcoming advancements in vehicle technology.

Beginning in mid-2025, Tesla plans to introduce unsupervised robotaxis in Texas and California, marking a significant step toward fully autonomous driving.

According to Musk, all Tesla vehicles will eventually achieve full autonomy. He believes that autonomous driving is already here, with a future fleet that could total hundreds of millions of Teslas operating without human oversight.

Musk aligns his views with those of Ark Invest, predicting that the deployment of robotaxis will escalate Tesla's market value to $5 trillion. Furthermore, he anticipates that the introduction of Teslabots could push the company's valuation to an astounding $25 trillion.

Looking further ahead, Musk predicts that by 2040, the number of Teslabots will surpass the human population, showcasing the pivotal role of robotics in future society.

He also highlighted a pressing global concern: the need to boost birth rates to avoid human extinction.

In addition to advances in automotive technology, Musk reiterated SpaceX's ambition to send Starships to Mars between 2026 and 2027, indicating his commitment to expanding humanity's reach into space.

These ambitious predictions show Tesla's determination to lead innovation in both the automotive and space industries, reflecting Musk's broader vision for the future.
