Apple Vision Pro Enhances Capabilities with AI Upgrade

Apple has announced the release of its latest update for the Vision Pro headset, visionOS 2.4, which introduces powerful new features enabled by Apple Intelligence.

This update brings a set of AI tools designed to enhance the user experience on the augmented reality headset. According to Apple, the new AI capabilities will assist users in ways that help them to "communicate, write, and express themselves more effectively."

Additionally, this upgrade makes it easier for users to discover new apps and content while improving AI privacy features. The update coincides with the launch of the new Spatial Gallery app, which showcases curated collections of art, culture, nature, sports, and more.

Key Features of Apple Intelligence in visionOS 2.4

The most significant addition to the Apple Vision Pro headset is a versatile writing tool powered by Apple Intelligence. This tool comprises several features including Rewrite, Proofread, and Summarize.

Rewrite enables users to modify a section of text by adjusting the tone. For example, users can request that their text be made more conversational, formal, or succinct. They can even specify particular changes, allowing the AI to apply these adjustments.

Proofread serves its name by identifying grammar and sentence structure issues, along with word choice recommendations.

Summarize allows users to select a piece of text and have it recapped in different formats.

A fourth tool, called Compose, leverages ChatGPT to help generate ideas and content through the system's Writing Tools.

The AI enhancements are designed for ease of use, featuring system-wide language support along with localized features like Smart Reply. This feature allows quick responses in apps such as Messages and Mail. Users can also search their photo libraries using natural language queries.

The introduction of the Image Playground tool will also enable users to create images from scratch, using descriptions or photos of individuals they know. This feature can be utilized for saving and sharing images easily. Additionally, with Genmoji, users can express themselves using AI-generated images.

It's noteworthy that at the time of this update's launch, the new features are available only to users with their Siri language set to U.S. English.
