Apple Intelligence is Coming to Vision Pro with New Features

Apple is introducing Apple Intelligence to the Vision Pro headset very soon. This new feature set will be part of the visionOS 2.4 update, which includes a mix of previously existing tools and an exciting new feature called Create Memory Movie, exclusive to the Vision Pro.

Create Memory Movie Feature

Apple aims to make the Vision Pro a special device for reliving memories. To accomplish this, the Create Memory Movie feature integrates with the Photos app. Users can enter a description or utilize a voice command, and Apple Intelligence will find the best photo or video that matches the input. The resulting 'memory movie' can be displayed on a large virtual screen or within immersive virtual surroundings.

Additional Features with Apple Intelligence

Alongside Create Memory Movie, Apple Intelligence on the Vision Pro will feature advanced writing tools powered by AI, including ChatGPT. This means users can dictate notes or emails, create quick summaries, or adjust the tone of text effortlessly. This functionality helps improve the writing experience within the headset, particularly when a Bluetooth keyboard isn't available.

Moreover, features like smart replies will enable users to quickly respond to messages with just a tap. There will also be fun tools like Genmoji and Image Playground, which is a prompt-based image generator. Users will enjoy priority notifications and summaries, as well as a feature called Image Wand, allowing for the creation of refined images based on rough sketches. Natural language search capabilities will be available in the Photos app, making it easier to find pictures.

Availability of visionOS 2.4

The Apple Intelligence features are launching as part of the visionOS 2.4 update. This update is currently available in a developer beta, with a full release expected in April. Initially, Apple Intelligence for visionOS will be accessible only in US English, but more languages and features will be added later in the year.

Additional Improvements in visionOS 2.4

Besides the Apple Intelligence features, visionOS 2.4 will introduce several other enhancements to improve usability. This includes a revamped Guest Mode, which is easier to use, and two new discovery apps. One of these apps will help with content discovery on the iPhone, while the other serves as an Apple-curated content guide directly within the headset.
