LG Innotek to Showcase Mobility Innovations at CES 2025
LG Innotek will participate in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10. The company is set to unveil its latest innovations in the field of future mobility.
The CES 2025 booth was revealed during a pre-event tour specifically for Korean journalists on January 6. It covers approximately 3,500 square meters and is positioned at the entrance of the West Hall in the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC).
This year's exhibition will focus on mobility, showcasing groundbreaking solutions that provide significant value to customers. A representative from LG Innotek mentioned, "We utilized a storytelling approach to allow visitors to experience the unique advantages of LG Innotek's solutions from the end-user perspective."
At the centerpiece of the booth will be a mockup of a future vehicle, featuring 15 different components related to vehicle sensing, communication, and lighting, which are primary areas for LG Innotek.
AD/ADAS Sensing Components, Including the RGB-IR In-Cabin Camera Module, in the Limelight
Among the many innovative products featured, LG Innotek will highlight its advancements in sensing components critical for Autonomous Driving (AD) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
One standout product is the RGB-IR In-Cabin Camera Module, making its global debut at CES 2025. This module, equipped with a 5-megapixel RGB (red, green, blue) and infrared (IR) sensor, is designed to monitor the driver's condition in real-time to prevent drowsiness. Its compact design also allows it to check passenger conditions, like whether seat belts are fastened in both the front and back seats, thus enhancing space efficiency and flexibility in vehicle design.
Additionally, the All-Weather Camera Solution will be showcased, which includes a dust-cleaning feature for an existing High-Performance Heating Camera Module.
Unveiling of New Products for Automotive Communication and Lighting, from AP Modules to Nexlide Vision
Visitors will also see vehicle communication components that incorporate LG Innotek’s proprietary wireless communication technology. These products include the 5G-V2X Communication Module, a Next-Generation Digital Key Solution that utilizes Ultra-Wideband (UWB) radar technology, and the Automotive AP Module, which enhances LG Innotek's range of electronic components.
AP modules are increasingly in demand with the rise of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). They function as critical automotive semiconductor components that integrate various electronic systems, including ADAS and Digital Cockpits, effectively serving as the vehicle's "brain" akin to a computer's CPU.
Also featured will be Nexlide A+, an award-winning vehicle lighting module that received recognition at CES 2025. This will be part of the Nexlide Zone area, showcasing LG Innotek's pioneering automotive lighting technologies.
Nexlide Vision is particularly noteworthy. It combines existing Pixel Lighting, which allows for the display of diverse text and animation effects, along with Smart Film technology. This innovative combination enables both pixel and design flexibility, allowing for unique visual elements in vehicle lighting.
Other products on display include B-Link (Battery Link), recognized as the world's first integration of a wireless Battery Management System (BMS) with a Battery Junction Box (BJB). This product is becoming crucial for electric vehicles, utilizing compact design technology to optimize battery pack use, and supporting both 400V and 800V chargers for maximum customer convenience.
LG Innotek's CEO, Moon Hyuksoo, expressed optimism about attracting new clients and business opportunities at CES 2025, stating that the company aims to strengthen its position as a comprehensive solution provider for future mobility.
Furthermore, LG Innotek will introduce an online exhibition platform on its website, providing details about the showcased products and a virtual tour of their CES 2025 booth. This online experience seeks to mimic the experience of visiting the offline booth in person, allowing visitors to engage interactively with the displayed innovations.
