Published January 27, 2024

In a significant move to foster the skills of young minds in advanced technologies, the Nasscom Foundation, in collaboration with Hexagon and Li2 Technologies, has initiated the fourth installment of its training programme aimed at imparting knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and the internet of things (IoT) to students. This educational series is hosted at the Hexart AI community centre located in Hyderabad.

Training Program Welcomes New Students

The programme has commenced with an enrolment of approximately 50 students for this year's cohort. Participants of the program will tackle real-world problems by creating AI-driven projects focusing on sectors such as agriculture, traffic management, and health care, specifically in the early detection of diabetic retinopathy.

Outreach and Awareness Efforts

Hexart AI is not just about training; it also conducts outreach efforts. It organizes induction programs to educate young individuals in schools and colleges about the significance and applications of cutting-edge technologies, thus raising awareness and interest in these fields.

Commitment to an Inclusive Tech Future

Nidhi Bhasin, the chief executive officer of the Nasscom Foundation, highlighted that the initiative is particularly aimed at creating a strong and diverse talent base, with an emphasis on women. The Foundation has a long-standing commitment to ensuring that individuals from marginalized backgrounds have access to new opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Bhasin stated, "Our philosophy of TechForGood is designed to create inclusive growth and digital equity across India."
