Apple Announces Date for Annual Developer’s Conference

Published March 26, 2025

Apple has announced that its highly anticipated annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place this year from June 9 to June 13.

The keynote presentation will be held as an in-person event at Apple Park, located in Cupertino, California. Meanwhile, the majority of the WWDC activities will be available online and free for developers to participate.

This year’s conference is expected to highlight upcoming versions of Apple's operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

According to recent reports, Apple is getting ready to launch one of the most substantial software updates in its history. It is expected that iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16 will bring significant changes to the user interface for iPhone, iPad, and Mac users.

Another important area of discussion will be the updates related to Apple’s Apple Intelligence platform. During last year's WWDC, Apple introduced the Apple Intelligence platform, where it revealed advanced features for Siri that are yet to be released. These features are designed to enable Siri to see what is displayed on the user's screen, perform tasks based on that information, and integrate more effectively with applications while understanding individual user contexts.

Recently, Apple acknowledged that it has faced challenges in developing its AI platform and integrating it with Siri. In a statement, Apple mentioned, “We are also working on a more personalized version of Siri, giving it greater awareness of your personal context and the ability to take actions within and across apps for you. However, it is taking us longer than we anticipated to deliver these features, and we plan to roll them out over the coming year.”

While the primary focus will be on software developments, there is a small chance that Apple might also use this year's WWDC to unveil new hardware. In the past, the conference has served as a platform for the introduction of significant products, such as the Apple Vision Pro headset, the M2 chip, and various new Mac devices.
