Opportunities Awaiting Former OpenAI Talent

Underlining the prospects at Salesforce, Benioff urged those who left OpenAI to send their resumes via email directly to him, hinting at a welcoming career horizon for these AI specialists within his company’s innovative endeavors.

The Turmoil at OpenAI

OpenAI’s Board of Directors announced on a Friday that, following a review process, Sam Altman had stepped down from his role, citing a lack of confidence in his continued leadership. Reports in the US media speculate that Altman may start a new AI company or return to OpenAI, whereas some employees considered resigning if he was not reinstated as CEO.

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, also announced that Altman would be joining Microsoft to lead a new advanced AI research team. Meanwhile, OpenAI staff had demanded resignations from the current board, even threatening to leave their posts en masse and join their biggest investor, Microsoft, in support of Altman.

A letter addressed to OpenAI's board, signed by the majority of the staff, harshly criticized the board for lacking competence, judgment, and care towards the company's mission and workers.
