Bria Secures $40 Million to Enhance Attribution Engine for AI-Generated Music

Published March 13, 2025

Bria, a visual generative AI platform that claims to use "100% licensed data," has successfully raised $40 million in its Series B funding round. This recent funding brings the company’s total capital raised to $65 million.

The funds will be utilized to broaden the application of Bria's patented attribution engine, extending its capabilities from images to music, video, and text generation.

The Series B funding round was led by Red Dot Capital, with additional participation from various investors including Maor Investment, Entrée Capital, GFT Ventures, Intel Capital, and In-Venture.

Bria noted in its funding announcement that one significant challenge facing the AI sector today is the perceived disregard for existing intellectual property (IP) and proper licensing protocols. The company aims to address this issue by creating a new IP ecosystem where businesses can access licensed IP content from media companies and studios for their generative AI projects, all while ensuring compliance.

The platform allows businesses to create visual content tailored to numerous use cases. Its patented attribution engine links the generative outputs to the training datasets, ensuring that data owners are compensated based on their overall influence on the generated content.

Bria currently collaborates with over 30 data partners, including companies such as Getty Images, Envato, Alamy, Freepik, and Depositphotos. The company claims that its business model is inspired by Spotify, which ensures there are no copyright conflicts or privacy violations and maintains transparency amid evolving regulations in AI.

Dr. Yair Adato, the Founder and CEO of Bria, stated, "Since our inception, Bria's mission has been to bridge the accountability gap between organizations and generative AI through transparency, accessibility, and control." He emphasized that by expanding their attribution capabilities to all types of content, including music, video, and text, the platform contributes to nurturing a sustainable creative economy.

Dr. Adato also highlighted that their patented attribution technology fosters trust in AI systems, allowing enterprises to access previously unavailable premium branded content via their source code and API platform. This integration will enhance the ability of organizations to utilize visual generative AI in their offerings.

This latest funding round comes almost a year after Bria completed its Series A funding in March 2023. Since then, the company has established strategic partnerships with tech giants, such as Nvidia, Microsoft, and AWS.

Danielle Ardon Baratz from Red Dot Capital expressed excitement at supporting Bria's mission to make generative AI accessible to more organizations. She noted that Bria is pioneering an innovative business model that ensures content creators are fairly compensated and motivated.

Baratz remarked, "The potential of generative AI within enterprise environments—where efficiency and creativity drive returns on investment—is immense. Bria is revolutionizing how businesses generate and customize visual content at scale, establishing a new standard for AI-driven content creation."
