AgiBot Launches China's First General Large Model with Embodied Intelligence
On March 10, 2025, the Chinese robotics company AgiBot proudly introduced the "Genie Operator-1" (GO-1), which marks the launch of China’s first general large model featuring embodied intelligence. This groundbreaking technology promises to redefine the capabilities and applications of robots across various sectors.
According to an announcement made via AgiBot's official WeChat account, the GO-1 model is capable of learning from humans or videos directly. This feature allows it to achieve quick generalization using a limited amount of data. Moreover, it effectively reduces barriers to embodied intelligence, paving the way for easier integration into various robotic systems created by AgiBot. As a result, these robots can now evolve and learn continuously.
AgiBot believes that the introduction of the GO-1 model will accelerate the adoption of embodied intelligence, transitioning robots from being mere task-specific tools to autonomous entities with general intelligence. This advancement is expected to greatly enhance the roles of robots in multiple fields such as commerce, industry, and everyday household applications.
Headquartered in Shanghai, AgiBot is committed to the innovative integration of artificial intelligence and robotics, with a focus on the research and production of versatile humanoid robots.
One of the co-founders of AgiBot, Peng Zhihui, born in 1993 in Ji'an, Jiangxi Province, has a rich background in technology and AI. After earning his master’s degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in 2018, he joined the AI lab at OPPO Research Institute.
In 2020, he was recruited by Huawei as part of their "Top Minds" Program, where he received a competitive annual salary of 2.01 million yuan (approximately $277,840). In late 2022, he departed from Huawei and subsequently co-founded AgiBot in February 2023.
