Brixton Metals Reveals New Drilling Results at the Hog Heaven Project
Brixton Metals Corporation has announced recent exploration results from Ivanhoe Electric’s drilling efforts at the Hog Heaven Project, situated in northwestern Montana, USA. This project, located in Flathead County, has recently shown promising potential for mineral resources.
Exploration Highlights
The drilling campaign included around 14,000 meters of drilling across eleven drill holes, primarily focusing on the Battle Butte Area within the Hog Heaven Project. Notably, a significant find was the discovery of a porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum system that is associated with a large Typhoon™ conductivity anomaly. This anomaly extends approximately 1,500 meters by 1,000 meters at a depth of about 1,200 meters.
Among the drill results, several holes intersected extensive intervals of low-grade precious metals and polymetallic mineralization, providing encouraging signs for further exploration.
Details of the Drilling Results
Initial results from the drilling at Battle Butte, specifically holes HHD-017 through HHD-022, have provided evidence of a promising porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum system. Significant intervals included:
- Hole HHD-018 recorded 286.0 meters of 0.14% copper, 0.14 g/t gold, 0.01% molybdenum, and 1.70 g/t silver from 947.0 meters depth.
- Hole HHD-019 returned 680.0 meters of 0.09% copper, 0.06 g/t gold, 0.02% molybdenum, and 0.96 g/t silver from 1,172.0 meters depth.
This evidence suggests that the porphyry system is substantial, potentially measuring 800 meters in vertical thickness and at least 600 meters by 400 meters in horizontal dimension.
Future Exploration Plans
Current exploration indicates that the system remains open toward the east and north, where the Typhoon™ anomaly has not yet been tested. Future drilling will aim to investigate these areas further and identify higher-grade copper-gold zones.
