Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Prioritize Daily Lunch Dates

Published March 6, 2025

Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, have made it a point to prioritize daily one-on-one time to keep their relationship strong and vibrant. This routine, described by Markle, revolves around enjoying lunch together each day, where they catch up on their lives amidst their busy schedules.

In a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, Meghan, now 43, expressed gratitude for their love story. She reflected on meeting Harry, saying, “Life is full of surprises. I did not expect to meet H and for this to be our love story. I’m very lucky.” She went on to describe her husband, 40, as the “funniest, sweetest, most charming man” and commended him for being a wonderful father and a supportive partner.

Before their marriage in 2018, Meghan received a piece of advice that has stuck with her. It was shared by a father she worked for during her time as a babysitter. He told her that when she found her person, he should vow to always date her. Meghan shared this with Harry, and he responded, “I vow to always date you.”

According to Meghan, this commitment keeps their relationship alive. She stated, “We have this connection because we’re so committed to treating each other the same way you did before you had a ring on it, before it was locked down.” She believes that maintaining this dating mindset allows them to cherish the joy and excitement of their early relationship.

The couple, who are parents to son Archie, 5, and daughter Lilibet, 3, enjoys their time together, including activities like school drop-off and pick-up for their children. Meghan revealed, “We make it a point to have lunch together every day during the week. Our days are busy with meetings, but we catch up on ‘What’s been going on?’ and ‘How are your meetings?’ It’s felt amazing and fun to show up for each other.”

Even when they are apart for work, Meghan makes an effort to connect with Harry and the kids. While promoting her Netflix project With Love, Meghan, she takes the time to read bedtime stories for her children. She explained, “I’ll always pack a really thin book and videotape myself reading it, so that Papa can say, ‘Here’s Mama reading your bedtime story.’”

Through all these actions, Meghan wants people to understand the importance of being there for one another, emphasizing that these efforts mean a lot and create a sense of connection.

With Love, Meghan is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
